** It’s important to have your dog's phosphate levels tested (via a blood test) before using CORE KIDNEY CARE. If your veterinarian confirms your dog has high phosphate levels, you should consider a phosphate binder.

CORE KIDNEY CARE is only for dogs with confirmed high phosphate levels. Do not use if your dog has normal kidney function.

HOW DOES A PHOSPHATE BINDER WORK?

A phosphate binder helps stop some of the phosphorus in your dog’s food from being absorbed into the bloodstream. Instead of going through the kidneys, it leaves the body in the stool. 

CORE KIDNEY CARE does not contain aluminum hydroxide, which most dog owners prefer to avoid when choosing a phosphate binder. If your dog is already taking a binder that contains aluminum hydroxide, it can still be used alongside CORE KIDNEY CARE. However, CORE KIDNEY CARE should not be used with a calcium-based phosphate binder.
